STEAM Week – Details of our poster competition!

As part of our ‘STEAM’ week we would like the children to get creative and take part in the annual National Science Week poster competition.

This year’s theme is “Exploration and Discovery”. During STEAM week, part of your child’s home learning will be to create a poster about anything involving exploration and discovery. Posters will be judged by Mr Dutton, Mrs Green and Mrs Bainbridge in school and the 5 best posters from our school will be entered into the UK-wide competition, with the chance for students to win an array of prizes.

What are the rules?

  • Entries must be 2D and submitted on one side of A4 or A3 paper only;
  • Work must be original and created by the pupil(s) – please do not use any templates;
  • Your child’s name and age should be clearly printed on the back of the piece of work.

Please make sure posters are handed into your child’s class teacher by Friday 23rd February.

We will let you know which posters we are submitting via the website. Entries will then be shortlisted by members of the British Science Association and the winner in each category decided by a panel of judges. Prizes will be awarded to the best entry and to runners up in each category.
