School Update – for Thursday 1st March 2018

Hartley Primary Academy – Plans for Thursday 1st March – (as at 18:05, 28/02/18)

Dear Parents and Carers,

We are intending to open the school from 10.00am until 2.30pm tomorrow. We will be assessing the site and facilities early tomorrow and will communicate the final decision to parents by 8.00am (please keep an eye on the website/texts/email). At the moment, Olive Dining have said they will try and get a team on site to provide a meal tomorrow but it depends on overnight snow and travel conditions. We will confirm at 8.00am if we need to ask you to bring your child in with a packed lunch.

A further development today, which will have to be taken into consideration tomorrow, is the cold water supply around school. We need to ensure toilet facilities are in full working order and pipes have not frozen overnight – this will also be assessed before 8.00am.

As mentioned in previous communications, Breakfast Club will NOT run, nor will Play4Ages.

Notes for next week – re. next week’s Parent Consultation Evenings – Play4Ages will run on both evenings – in Rowan and Willow classes – parents of children in Y4 will be able to view their children’s books in the hall. After school clubs will not run next week – apart from Tennis on Monday and Miss Hannah on Friday.

Year 6 trip to RAF museum will go ahead on Wednesday 7th March – predicted return time is 4.30pm.

Thank you for your support and cooperation,

Mrs S Goosani
