Plans for Tuesday 5th January onwards

Dear Parents/Carers,

If you have completed our Google Form and provided evidence of your critical worker status, or have been contacted by us because your child falls into one of the vulnerable categories, then we will look forward to seeing them at school this week. Critical worker families should have indicated which days/sessions they need childcare and vulnerable children will be expected to be in full time from tomorrow. Our start and finish times and drop off/collection points will all remain the same. Breakfast Club will commence tomorrow for any critical worker or vulnerable children who normally attend. Start times and drop off points for this will also remain the same.

If you are a critical worker and have indicated that your child only needs child care for half days  the collection/drop off times available are as follows:

Year group Morning session Afternoon session All day hours Collection/drop off gate
Reception 8.40am-11.30am 12.30pm-3pm 8.40am-3pm Roundash Way
Year 1 9am-11.30am 12.30pm-3.20pm 9am-3.20pm Roundash Way
Year 2 8.35am-11.30am 12.30pm-3.10pm 8.35am-3.10pm Lower Field
Year 3 8.55am-12pm 1pm-3.20pm 8.55am-3.20pm Lower Field
Year 4 9am-12pm 1pm-3.30pm 9am-3.30pm Lower Field
Year 5 9am-12.30pm 1.30pm-3.30pm 9am-3.30pm Fairby Lane
Year 6 8.50am-12.30pm 1.30pm-3.20pm 8.50am-3.20pm Fairby Lane

Nursery children should attend for their usual sessions and times.

It is vital that children are dropped off and collected promptly because we do not have spare staff to come and collect from the gates if you arrive late, or to bring children out to you if you are late to collect. We also will not have our usual staff in the office who often assist with these things, so if you are late you may not be able to leave your child at school on that day.

We do have a very high number of critical worker children so I would once again ask that you all consider very carefully whether you need this childcare. We are already concerned that we will not have sufficient chromebooks or iPads for the children to access their online learning and we are trying to reduce contact, which will be quite difficult with the numbers we have coming in!

Any children coming into school should wear their school uniform. There is no need to wear P.E kits on P.E da/ys because TAs will be supervising groups and not leading lessons, therefore there will be no P.E lessons. If you do not have enough uniform for the week though, please feel free to send your child in wearing their P.E kit on their usual P.E days.

All children who are remaining at home should log on to their Google Classroom/Tapestry in the morning to see the work that has been set. Teachers will indicate on the classroom if there are any scheduled live lessons or Google Meets so it is worth checking the Classroom by 9am. In future, teachers will endeavour to set work on the evening before the work is to be completed, to enable you to plan your home learning sessions in advance.

If you have any further questions please email office@hartleyprimary.org.uk and we will get back to you as soon as we can.

Kind regards

Nicole Galinis
