Nursery Plans

Dear Parents/Carers,

As you may be aware, the government has stated that nurseries should now be fully open. We had initially followed the guidance and only opened to critical worker and vulnerable children but now that the guidance has changed we need to ask you if you wish to send your child in for their usual sessions.

At a maximum the nursery has 28 children all in one room. This does not allow for a very COVID-friendly environment and you will all be aware that we have already had cases in nursery which has led to the closing of nursery. We therefore urge you to consider whether you need to send your child back to nursery at this moment in time. Government guidelines suggest that we should all stay at home.

We will continue to put activities onto Tapestry for any children who are kept at home, although if we have large numbers of children sent in this may need to be reviewed.

To ensure we are able to keep staff and children as safe as possible with increased numbers the provision may be different to that before lockdown. We may need to split the group into different areas of the academy and we may need to reduce activities that we consider high risk of increasing transmission.

Please complete the attached Google Form to indicate your intentions. In order to arrange staff for Monday we really need to have this form completed immediately and by 2pm at the latest please.

Kind Regards

Nicole Galinis
