Welcome to Hartley Primary Academy, where we are committed to providing outstanding education in a supportive and nurturing environment. Situated in a picturesque village setting, our two-form entry school prides itself on fostering a sense of community and belonging.

At Hartley, we believe that every child is unique and deserves the opportunity to develop and grow as a learner. We are dedicated to ensuring that all children, regardless of their background or needs, have the chance to achieve their full potential. Our curriculum offer is broad, balanced and bespoke, driven through the lens of the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme to foster a love of learning and empower students to take ownership of their educational journey.

We create a safe and inspiring environment where students feel valued, respected, and empowered to be the best they can be. We champion outside-the-box thinking, encourage students to take action alongside their learning, and provide enriching opportunities for them to deepen their understanding and skills.  Learning is enriched and embedded through the use of our lovely outdoor environment, consisting of woodlands, a pond and grassy areas, which not only supports development but also helps our children’s sense of well-being.
